Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Marika Hackman is sharing a special new version of her visceral debut album highlight ‘Skin’ that features Laura Marling. ‘Skin’ first appeared on Hackman’s lauded debut album We Slept At Last, released 10 years ago. Alongside the new music, Hackman is set to perform the album in full accompanied by strings at a SOLD OUT Union Chapel show on 21st March 2025.

Produced by Marika, this new version was recorded between The Gatehouse, Abbey Road Studios and Marika’s own studio. Retaining the effortlessly demure tone of the original, there’s now steely confidence within Hackman’s delivery that glints like a blade, whilst Marling’s gossamer voice offers a haunting counterpoint.
