Recent Transgressive Publishing signings Black Country, New Road are the latest band added to the ever-expanding Transgressive 20th Anniversary celebrations this summer and they will perform ‘work in progress’ show at The Lexington on Tuesday 3rd September.

One of the world’s most enthralling ensembles, the group are performing all-new material billed as a ‘work in progress’ performance at this extremely intimate venue. A donation will be included within all ticket purchases to the event series’ charity partners, War Child and Music Venue Trust.

The Lexington holds relevance to both BC,NR, who performed there in the early days of the group’s inception, as well as for us, as we were infamously based above the venue in our first four years of opening. The Lexington will commemorate its own special anniversary this year, celebrating 15 years existing as one of the country’s leading independent music venues.

Additional news arrives this week as it’s announced that three of the series’ London shows have now sold out – Arlo Parks and Marika Hackman, who appear next week in a very special, rare performance at Regent’s Park Outdoor Theatre, plus The Moonlandingz and UNIVERSITY at Highbury Garage, as well as Mystery Jets at Hackney EartH. The much-acclaimed new Hastings trio HotWax will now join the bill at the Garage as surprise special guests.

We kickstarted 20th Anniversary summer of events at Glastonbury Festival last weekend, featuring a packed field and tent at an inaugural Friday night Takeover of new area, The Wishing Well, located in The Park arena. The evening included standout appearances from Moonchild Sanelly, Miso Extra plus surprise sets from Jamz Supernova and Joe Goddard from Hot Chip, keeping the field shaking from 11pm until 6am.
