After a run of unforgettable events in venues across London, Hamburg and New York, as well as a smattering of the world’s great UK/European festivals, Transgressive have announced the latest show to form part of their 20th Anniversary celebrations.

Yannis & The Yaw will headline London Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Wednesday 11th December, with special guests to be announced. Pre-sale tickets will be available from 9am Wednesday 23rd October – sign up here to access. General on sale tickets will go live here.

This will mark the final event of the year from Transgressive, whose exhaustive year of celebrations has thus far taken in 12 packed and sold out events across the UK, Germany and North America.

Transgressive kickstarted its 20th Anniversary summer of events at Glastonbury Festival in June, which featured standout appearances from Moonchild Sanelly, Miso Extra plus surprise sets from Jamz Supernova and Joe Goddard from Hot Chip. The record label, publisher and management company proceeded to host parties at festivals throughout the summer, including sets from The WAEVE (Graham Coxon & Rose Elinor Dougall), Mystery Jets, Kinshasa’s KOKOKO!, HotWax and Let’s Eat Grandma at Latitude and Green Man.

Other special sell-out shows have included a rare performance at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre from Arlo Parks and Marika Hackman – which, in spite of the definitive torrential downpour of the year, received ecstatic five-star reviews – plus The Moonlandingz’ riotous first show in seven years at Highbury Garage, the biggest headline show yet from Johnny Flynn & The River Band at Hammersmith Apollo, and a multi-artist event in New York, which featured The Antlers, Mykki Blanco, MICHELLE, Mutual Benefit and Odetta Hartman. A euphoric, Friday night ‘indie-sleaze’ extravaganza at Dalston’s EartH featured Mystery Jets,  supported by Frederick Macpherson’s ‘Meet Me In The Barfly’ DJ appearance, including a very special guest surprise appearance from Dev Hynes (Blood Orange).

The UK events are held in association with charity partners War Child and Music Venue Trust, where attendees and guests will have the ability to learn more and offer donations to the respective causes.
